Boutique fund manager Bellwether Partners won its first institutional investment mandate after the $430 million Combined Fund invested in its high performing flagship fund.

16 July 2008 - Bellwether wins first institutional investment mandate
Boutique high conviction specialist, Bellwether Partners, has announced a breakthrough first institutional investment mandate after Combined Fund committed to invest in its high performing flagship fund.
Combined Fund, acting under the advice of its asset consultant, Counterpoint Group, has awarded a mandate to the Bellwether Australian Share Fund, which offers a concentrated portfolio of large cap Australian stocks.

Boutique Australian equities firm, Bellwether Partners, poached former IOOF executive director and Perennial Investment Partners founding director Tony Hodges to join its board of directors.

10 January 2008 - Daniel Barry Joins Bellwether Ltd
Bellwether Partners Ltd are delighted to announce the appointment of Daniel Barry, CFA, as an Australian Equities Analyst within Bellwether’s Investment Team.
Daniel comes to us from Goldman Sachs JBWere (GSJBW), where he worked in the relationship management area of GSJBW Asset Management. Daniel brings an exceptional breadth of industry experience to the Bellwether Investment team having worked in many of the key areas of funds management including investment performance, portfolio risk and business analysis. In addition to GSJBW, Daniel has also worked for Citigroup Asset Management in London and Wells Fargo in San Francisco.
The appointment of Daniel further increases the strength of the Bellwether proprietary research and investment process. Daniel will concentrate on the qualitative analysis of Australian listed stocks, but he will also be involved in the quantitative aspects of the research process and play an active role in investment decision making.
Daniel has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting and finance and is a CFA charterholder.
